If you wish to join us, please email an application or inquiry with the information given above to
Randir Menelmacar (randirmenelmacar resident) and/or Yalawë Aldaron (mugen.hamaski).
The application form is contained in the Welcome notecard you will receive when you attempt to enter the boathouse. Upon your arrival on the island, the wooden building next to you (you should be right outside of it).

You can then copy the application form to your inventory, complete and rename it as instructed and share it with Randir and/or Yalawë (see above).
Alternatively, you can write an →email to our webmaster and ask for further details or assistance. Or you may wish to have a look at our FAQ page (if we ever get this up and running ;-)).
Please be aware that you may not be able to use certain objects or make them do what they are intended for unless you are a member of the “The Old Forest” group. Invitations to join the group will be sent to you upon your application.
Notes about accepted races in The Old Forest:
If you wish to join us, you may want to consider one of the following for your avatar:
- Elf (choose between →Vanyar, →Noldor, or →Nelyar [Teleri], find more information about Tolkienesque elves →HERE – e.g., Legolas, Galadriel, Thranduil, or Elrond, as you may know from “The Hobbit” or “The Lord of the Rings”)
- Human (such as an Edain – e.g., Beren Erchamion)
- Halfling (such as a Hobbit or one of the River folks)
- Dwarf (such as Gimli or Thorin Oakenshield)
- Other (upon specific agreement only), such as
- Ent (tree shepard, such as Treebeard –
remember to speak very s-l-o-w-l-y
) - Orc (such as →Azog, →Bolg, →Gorbag, →Grishnákh)
- Natural animal (such as horse, wolf, dog, cat etc. While we are a fantasy sim, animals cannot speak, and they are not overly intelligent, yet they are sentient)
- Not-so-natural animal (such as a dragon or sea creature).
- Ent (tree shepard, such as Treebeard –
remember to speak very s-l-o-w-l-y
Be aware that specific behavior may be requested from you depending on what creature you wish to be, e.g., humans cannot fly by themselves, horses or wolves cannot talk, orcs are rather primitive etc., in the best way you can make sense of it.
